World Rowing Ambassador for the Prevention of Competition Manipulation: Saulius Ritter

Saulius Ritter (LTU) has recently been appointed as a World Rowing Ambassador for the Prevention of Competition Manipulation. Saulius is already an IOC Believe in Sport Ambassador within Lithuania, and will use this new appointment to reach athletes worldwide. He will be the voice of rowing amongst top-level athletes to raise awareness and help the fight against the manipulation of competition.

The Believe in Sport ambassadors are active or retired athletes, coaches or referees, who are committed to raise awareness about competition manipulation towards their fellow athletes and their entourage.

They support their respective National Olympic Committee (NOC) or International Sport Federation (IF) in their prevention efforts against competition manipulation. They are trained by the IOC but represent and work directly with their respective NOC or IF. Ahead of the Olympic Games, the IOC selects a small group of them to be activated on the IOC’s Games-time campaign.
